Meet Our Team

I am a special education teacher licensed in Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (EBD) and Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD). I have been teaching in separate site classrooms, outside of the general education setting all of my 25 years of teaching. I have worked in therapeutic/care and treatment based programs most of my career. I enjoy working in a small staff to student ratio as I am able to understand and support individual needs better. I am a mother to 2 young men, one pursuing a career in music and the other still attending college and playing baseball. My favorite pastime is watching my boys do what they love to do and spending time with family friends. I enjoy doing just about anything outside: riding bikes, gardening, playing sports, and being in the water. I am thrilled to be part of Lakeside Academy, as I have close family members that are in recovery. It is a joy to work with young men beginning a healthier journey in their lives.
