Meet Our Team

Working at Lakeside Academy is a long-awaited answer to prayer. I became an addict at an early age, trying to disguise who I was as a person and trying to bury the trauma I had been through. I remained an addict through my early 30s, until God broke through the midst of me making the worst decision of my life, and redeemed me. My first life verse is Romans 3:23: “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” My second life verse is Romans 8:1: “Therefore there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” The first reminds me that we all start out the same. The second reminds me that once I am His, I am His. I’ve worked with at-risk teens for over a decade and my passion remains the same: to help them from taking the long way around like I did. I enjoy spending time with my husband and adult children and my little puggle, Gus.
